For generations, French cuisine has been regarded as one of the top culinary traditions in the world. Chef & Owner Patrice Petit and his expert staff excel in offering Modern French-American Cuisine. Patrice started his career as a gourmet chef more than four decades years ago in Paris, where he cooked with some of the most famous chefs France had to offer. From Paris, Patrice moved to Austin, Texas. There, he worked at the Stephen F. Austin Hotel. He then was employed as the banquet chef at the famous Hotel Jerome in
Aspen, Colorado.
Patrice continued his success as the Chef & Owner of the Basalt Bistro in Basalt, Colorado. His regulars included Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, Goldie Hawn, and Neil Diamond. Patrice has also had the honor to cook for the rich and famous at Villa Del Mars, Cabo San Lucas. His art of pairing this his unique, handcrafted cuisine and excellent wines is unsurpassed. Chef Patrice uses only the finest, freshest ingredients - many of which are grown and harvested right here in Western Colorado.
